About the company

We are a UK-based R&D subsidiary of our German parent company Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH, who are a specialist in the design and manufacture of power electronics for high power applications such as power transmission and renewable energy generation.

In Cambridge, we develop technology and contribute to industrial product developments. We are currently a small, friendly team looking to expand our hardware and software capabilities.

Role Summary

We have a general requirement for more power electronics engineers. You should consider applying if you are a control theory specialist or system architect. We are particularly looking for those with working knowledge of modular multi-level converters (MMC).

In this role you would contribute to development and validation of MMC converters and AC-DC power conversion for the grid. The role is part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team and requires a solid background in power electronics for  high-power converter operation (1 MW+).

About You

  • You have Degree in Electrical Engineering (MSc, MEng or PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred).
  • You have 5+ years’ experience of power converter design, test, manufacturing and field issues.
  • You are able to present design ideas and results in a clear and concise manner.
