Amantys® Ltd and Hitachi Europe Ltd today announced an agreement to distribute high voltage Amantys Power DrivesTM in Europe

Leading power device manufacturer offers IGBT Module and gate drive subsystem with Amantys Power InsightTM performance monitoring

Nuremberg, Germany, May 15^th 2013 – Amantys and Hitachi Europe today announced a commercial agreement to cooperate in the promotion and sale of IGBT Module Gate Drivers, initially encompassing Amantys Power Drives at 3.3kV and 4.5kV operating voltage, and with current ratings up to 3600A. The companies anticipate securing new designs in applications such as wind turbine inverters, locomotive traction and medium voltage industrial drives.

As well as offering superior performance with isolated power supply, faster start-up and recovery times, and improved creepage and clearance, the Amantys IGBT gate drivers incorporate Amantys Power Insight condition monitoring technology to observe and report critical power switching characteristics in real time using existing interfaces.

AT PCIM 2013 in Nuremberg, Germany, Amantys will demonstrate how these gate drives can operate and monitor IGBT Module performance on stand 124, Hall 9 on May 14^th-16^th.
